KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 1 (Bernama)

-- Measat Satellite Systems Sdn Bhd has signed an agreement with Antrix Corp Ltd, the commercial arm of the Indian Space Research Organisation, for the leasing of the Ku-band capacity on the Measat-3 satellite.In a statement here today, Measat said under the agreement, Antrix would lease eight Ku-Band transponders on Measat-3, with an option to increase the number subsequently."The transponders will be used by Antrix to support the launch and development of a commercial new direct-to-home television platform in India," it said.

Three Satellites to Be Launched From Baikonur This Summer - Source

MOSCOW. May 30 (Interfax-AVN) - Three space launches are scheduled to take place at Baikonur space center this summer, a source at the center told Interfax on Friday.

A Proton-K rocket carrying Cosmos military satellites is slated for launch in late June, the source said.

A Proton-M carrying an Inmarsat 4F3 satellite will be launched in late July, he added.

A Zenit-3SLB rocket with a U.S. Measat 3R satellite will be launched in late August, the source said.
